On acceptance of the quotation, a detailed survey will be carried out which will include measurements and photographs. You’ll be advised on timescales for delivery of preliminary drawings, and work will begin to put your ideas on paper.
Within a short time, 2-3 examples of preliminary drawings will be supplied to you. Once you’ve chosen your design and any minor alterations are completed, the final detailed plans will be submitted to the Local Authority Planning Department along with your application fee. The application will be monitored, and paperwork received will be passed on to you, ensuring you are fully aware of the progress throughout. Depending on the planning department, this will usually take 8-12 weeks.
